The field season took place from 08.06.2018 to 29.09.2018. According to the weather report, it was the rainiest summer for the period of five years. During survey routes (for the 1:10 000 scale geological map of the license area) and documentation of exploration trenches, it was suggested that the bedding of the ore bodies was not as steep as predecessors had asserted. At the end of the season, Virg-Rudgeophysics Company was engaged to conduct a low-altitude aeromagnetic survey over a localized area of 8 km² to indirectly verify the field observations. The assumption of a more gentle bedding was confirmed in their final report with a high probability, and the planned drilling program for 2019 was adjusted (drilling network unchanged, zenith angle changed).
4,417 lm of exploration trenches were documented. 1062 furrow and duplicate samples were collected. The exploration trenches were passed in the line of the predecessor trenches. Several route pairs traversed 130 lkm of routes and collected more than 300 samples. A preliminary geologic scheme and a reference collection of rocks were compiled.
All samples were delivered to St. Petersburg for sample preparation.
